Dwarf Light Cavalry (Dwarf on Ponies)

WKD-20, WKD-23 and WKD-24 sets of Light Cavalry use the same four, but all different awesome, awesome un-barded ponies. The WKD-23 Ponyrider Command draw a random two of these. See WKD-01 Un-barded ponies for more.

Initial greens

The light cavalry is based on a set of initial greens that after mastering would make base for another two variant riders and another two ponies. 4 more heads were made and the additions would built on the separate arm system and added new weapon options for the WKD-21 Dwarf Light Lancers and WKD-22 Dwarf Swordsmen sets.

The Ponyriders are loosely based on historical "Reiters", with a more spanish twist added. At TAG the Light Cavalry was actually named "Reiters".

Ponyriders shared bodies, heads and ponies

2 generic armless bodies with engraved armour and 8 heads were made to make these sets.

If ponies aren't badass enough for you...! Januar 2015 WK showed greens of these, planned, monstrous cavalry for the Dwarf veteran knights and for future characters. The Landgriffons are by John Pickford. The Landgriffons will then use the existing Knights as riders.

These wasn't released till TAG took over. At TAG another two (convertions) were added. See The Assault Group for more about them.

We are still awaiting the "future characters", though :-)

To see the released Landgriffons go to The Assault Group-page for the final castings.
